School History
The National Taipei University of Education Affiliated Experimental Elementary School was established in 1907. It was originally known as Da Long Tong Da-An Branch Elementary School. The name was changed to Taipei Normal School Affiliated Elementary School in 1945.
Throughout the decades, the school has undergone several name changes reflecting its evolving status, from Provincial Taipei Normal Professional School Affiliated Elementary School in 1963 to its current status. In 2005, following the university's restructuring, the school was renamed National Taipei University of Education Affiliated Experimental Elementary School.
Current Resources and Educational Environment
The school is located on He-Ping East Road in Taipei City, near the Technology Building Information Science Exhibition Center, National Taipei University of Education, and National Taiwan University.
We are within walking distance to many instructional resources such as Da-An Forest Park, Huang’s old Residence, and the Water Museum. With convenient access to the MRT Technology Building Station, visiting teaching locations around Taipei is easy. The campus is designed to provide a safe and healthy environment for children, with continuously upgraded information processing facilities.
Future Development of the School
We have the following plans for future development:
1. To establish a more environmentally-aware and eco-friendly campus.
- To improve the school environment by adding more trees, bushes, and plants and to use the available environmental resources for instructional activities.
- To build a rain collection system on the roof to collect rainwater, to recycle natural resources, and to build a healthy environment on campus.
2. To build an experimental humanities school.
- To improve students’ language ability by building a bi-lingual curriculum, to invite more foreign teachers, to build real life situations into the curriculum, and to foster a love of language and learning.
- To encourage parent-child reading activities, to develop students’ writing ability, to start a children’s poem reading activity, to integrate composition into the curriculum, to improve teacher’s and students’ interest in the humanities.
